For three years I have worked at Grand Canyon University. I have an education/training background in finance, economics, and a bit of criminal justice. The short version of what I do as the Office Manager is keep track of all of the spending for the Campus Technology department. Let’s just say I love spreadsheets. When diving into a new spreadsheet, I love my dogs, coffee and I’m a foodie. Hobbies include cars, motorcycles, and painting.

Audio Visual Systems Technician

I have been with GCU for just over 4 years. I attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences to learn how to record/mix music. After my short training at CRAS, I worked in setting up A/V equipment in conferencing centers for a year before finding myself here at GCU. In my current role as Audio Visual Technician I am a part of the commissioning process and maintenance of all A/V gear or anything with a plug seen around campus. Whether that be a new classroom, new conference room, a new event space, eateries/dining, existing POS systems, etc. I enjoy mixing live audio in my off time including at my church, in theaters and bar spaces.

I have been with Campus Technology for over 6 years. I have spent 25+ years working in various A/V roles gaining knowledge and experience. In my current role I specialize in lighting design and programming. While not at work, I love gaming, watching movies, cooking and Lego.

I have been working for GCU’s Campus Technology for less than a year. My educational and training background includes information technology and business management degrees. I support the Campus Technology team with the planning of university events and logistics for resource allocation. My specializations include IT, business relations/communications, AV, data analysis, active directory management, and enterprise device management. When I am not working I enjoy listening to music, playing guitar and cars.

Systems Administrator, Campus Technology

I started working for Campus Technology in May 2023. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology with an emphasis in Cybersecurity and have 1 year of service desk training from Choice Hotels. As the System Administrator, I work with a few different university apps including GCU Life, Sites, and Igloo. I specialize in Windows Servers, Virtual Machines, Fundamental of Cybersecurity, Basic Network Architecture, and I am familiar with Penetration Testing. In my free time I like to play video games like No Man Sky, and play guitar with the aspiration to someday perform during church worship session.

Campus Technology Services Engineer

I’ve been at GCU Campus Technology for roughly 2 years. I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and have over 8 years experience in AV. As a Campus Technology Services Engineer, my team designs, installs and maintains AV Equipment in classrooms, events spaces, eateries, gyms, and corporate spaces. I have an expertise in audio DSP and AutoCAD Designing. When I’m not working, I enjoy listening to and playing music.

Low Voltage Manager

For 4 years I have been a part of Campus Technology. I went to Community College of the Air Force and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Within my current role I am the Low Voltage Manager, a project coordinator, a project installation specialist, as well as the security camera and threat assessment consultant, and project planning consultant. I also coordinate the repair and replacement of emergency phones, battery backups, and security cameras. Outside of work I love cooking, trying new food and gaming.

Campus Technology Project Manager

I was initially hired to GCU Campus Technology in 2015, transferred to GCE in 2018, and back to Campus Tech in 2021. Over the years I ran audio/video for campus events such as Chapel and basketball games for roughly 3 years. I then ran the livestream broadcasts for events for 2-3 years before coordinating the classroom technology installs for 1-2 years. Now I coordinate more complex technology installs around campus from start to finish including the planning/design phase, gathering of quotes and efficiently having the project run without issues or delays. Outside of work, I enjoy going to baseball games, seeing movies in the theater, and playing with my two kids.

Senior Manager, Campus Technology Operations

I have been working at Grand Canyon University for 6 years. I have a BA Science in Business Management which eventually led me to this role as the Operations Manager. My specialization is in point of sale, warehouse operations, PCI compliance, badge access, BrightSign, and application management. When I’m not working I’m spending time with my family, watching sports, and attending events around the Valley.

Esports Operations Director

I am the Director of Esports at Grand Canyon University. I lead the Esports Programs’ competitive, creative, brand, and strategic direction while also directly managing a team of full-time, part-time, and student employees. Prior to joining GCU Esports, I was working in collegiate esports as a student leader at Mississippi State, where I built what became the largest student group at MSU. I specialize in being a leader, mentor, and resource to students, aspiring professionals, and young people who seek to create their own path within gaming and esports. Outside of the esports world, I enjoy activities such as entrepreneurship, video games, and spending time with my girlfriend.

Esports Supervisor

After graduating from the GCU Colangelo College of Business, I started working for the Esports team in 2023. In addition to my degree, I have training in high level sports business and event operations. I am the Esports Supervisor and Facility Manager. In my role, I am responsible for all of our on-campus Esports events, as well as the management of the Esports facility and its staff. Outside of work, I have a passion for travel and have been all over the world. I also play basketball and frequently watch or assist in events all around the U.S.

I have been employed at GCU Campus Technology for roughly 3 years following 10 years of experience in hotel and film audio as a technician and supervisor. Within my current role I supervise the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of audio visual projects. Outside of work I am a musician playing drums, guitar, bass and do the recording.

I have been working at GCU’s Campus Technology for one year. I have a degree in Biology from the University of Oregon, where I also worked in IT for 20 years. I am now the Director of Campus Technology & Application Manager at GCU and I specialize in IT infrastructure, policy, and improving day-to-day operations of GCU as they relate to IT technologies. Outside of work I enjoy open ocean sailing (blue-water sailing), fishing, mountain biking, metal work, and traveling.

I started out graduating from Conservatory of Recording Arts before I was hired on to GCU Campus Technology. In my current role, I set up, operate, maintain and repair sound and video equipment for live events including GCU concerts, sports games, business conventions and meetings. I specialize in music production, multimedia projects, audio and troubleshooting. My interests outside of work include listening to music, yoga, hiking, lifting and karaoke.

Events Technology Lead Technician

GCU Campus Technology has been my place of employment for 2 years. I obtained an Associate in Applied Sciences in Audio Production and completed the CRAS Master Recording Program II. I am certified in Dante Level 3, Q-SYS Level 1, LA Network Manager, Wireless Workbench, Waves Audio and Forklift. I am in charge of all Audio/Visual needs for the Doctoral program and assist with all audio/networking, video and lighting on campus. In addition, I assist with training all new technicians and student workers joining Campus Technology. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, grilling, playing with my dog, working on our family businesses and producing music in the recording studio.

I have been with GCU Campus Tech for 2.5 years. I have a Master’s degree in Technical Management and was an IT specialist in the United States Air Force. In my current role, I am the project manager over Audio Visual installations with a specialization in new construction and technical upgrades. Outside of work I spend a good amount of time on physical fitness.

I have an extensive history with GCU starting as a student graduating with a BA in Digital Design with an emphasis in Animation while being a student worker to now having worked for the university for over 6 years. I am the Production Manager for Esports. I oversee the content creation, social media, website, and broadcast teams. I have a total of 30 student workers split between the 4 teams. I specialize in graphic design. Including platforms for print, digital, and production needs. Anything from marketing for an event to central branding. My interests outside of work are movies and books.

Event Technology Manager

I have been employed at Grand Canyon University for 2 years. I have Bachelor’s degree in Software Development along with my certifications in the following: Dante (Level 1-3), Q-SYS Level 1, and L-Acoustics System Workflow/Calibration/K2. As the Campus Technology Event Technology Manager, I lead a team responsible for coordinating and executing live audio, video, and lighting events both on and off campus. My role involves managing personnel, overseeing training programs, liaising with event coordinators and vendors, and ensuring the maintenance of all event-related technology. Additionally, I contribute to budget requests and strategic planning for event technology. Outside of work, I spend my time traveling/exploring different cultures and cuisines, spending quality time with friends and family, running audio for bands as the Front of House Engineer, and playing video games.

Senior Director, Campus Technology

As the Senior Director, I overview all of the classroom technology, new building and campus development technology and event audio/visual technology. I have been with GCU for 11 years. Thanks to my Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from ASU and my MBA from GCU, I now specialize in advanced audio visual systems, both installed and live production systems. Not to mention, I specialize in advanced technology hardware system design. When not working, I enjoy woodworking, custom Christmas lighting displays and spending time with my family.

I have been working at GCU since August 2023. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication with a minor in Communication from Arizona State University. My current role as the Content Administrator has me utilizing WordPress, Photoshop and a variety of similar applications to create an assortment of websites for the university. Outside of work I enjoy watching movies, reading and playing with my cat.

I started at GCU Campus Technology in January 2023. I have a bachelor’s degree in Film & Production with an emphasis in Production from Grand Canyon University. My primary role as the Video Streaming Engineer is to ensure the quality of GCU’s livestreams. I specialize in hard-body camera operations, live-switching direction, and BlackMagic Design hardware. Outside of work I enjoy doing voiceover narration in addition to pyrography.
